SpeakerOhms.com
A free guitar-speaker impedance calculator and wiring guide — taken from nothing to a deployed site in a single day, earning Google rankings within seven weeks, then deliberately consolidated into guitarcab.com.
SpeakerOhms was the first experiment under the studio's small-works model: on 11 March 2026 the domain was bought, the site built, and a Cloudflare Pages deployment with SSL was live — all in one day.
The product was a free impedance calculator for guitarists and bassists: series, parallel and series-parallel wiring for two to eight speakers, amp-matching guidance for tube versus solid-state, power distribution per speaker, and wiring diagrams. The site grew to eleven pages — seven of them long-tail articles on cab wiring and impedance matching — all hand-rolled static HTML totalling ~350 KB, no framework, no build step.
The search bet worked: within seven weeks the site was earning impressions on calculator-driven queries, with the parallel calculator ranking around position nine. A 147-speaker Thiele-Small research database assembled here never shipped on these pages — it became the data backbone of the successor project instead.
The ending is the strategy. Rather than run two thin sites in the same territory, every SpeakerOhms URL was 301-redirected into guitarcab.com in early June 2026 — a deliberate consolidation that moved the earned authority onto the deeper property. Built in a day, ranked in seven weeks, retired with intent at twelve.
