AltFinish

Finishes a Shopify catalogue's image alt text — and proves it. Scans every product image, writes the missing descriptions, and reconciles against the live store to a verified zero outstanding.

Alt-text generation is commoditised — the category's incumbents and the platform itself can all write a description. AltFinish targets what nobody owns: finishing a large catalogue with proof. It reconciles every image against live store state, not the API response, to reach a true one hundred per cent — never a silent ninety.

The flow is audit-first: a free scan classifies every product image as missing, weak or fine before any money changes hands. Generation runs through a sample-and-approve step, the completion engine drives outstanding images to zero, and the merchant keeps a WCAG/EAA completion receipt. One-click rollback restores every prior description from snapshots.

Pricing is a transparent one-time quote, not a meter: the free audit makes the image count known up front, then a declining per-image tariff — nine cents down to half a cent — capped at $149 for any catalogue size. First 25 images free. No subscription.

It was built scaffold-to-submission in roughly twenty-two hours on 7 June 2026, including the unglamorous compliance work — GDPR webhooks, privacy routes, graceful billing-decline handling — and now sits in the App Store review queue. Inside the studio it has a second job: it is the build pipeline's reference application, the standard every machine-built app is measured against.

In the Shopify App Store review queue since 7 June 2026. The listing goes live on approval.
